After a cathartic off-season, I've finally come to accept and embrace the fact that I'm semi-retired. And that leaves time for some things other than hockey
Glad you're adjusting, I can't imagine that life change.
I was thinking earlier this week "No posts or pods from Ken Campbell, I hope he's just enjoying life". And then this pops up. Take care of yourself, sir. And if your travels take you to Iowa, I recommend Iowa City. I'd love to host you and your wife for dinner, and if timed well, we have a lousy ECHL team in a nice building to catch a game.
Sorry to hear it but I understand. I've always thought your voice was essential to understanding hockey on all its levels, and I appreciate your generosity in sharing your expertise with a North Carolinian/Californian. I hope someone up there, or down here, realizes the value of your knowledge and unvarnished opinions. But our business is pretty FUBARed these days as you know. Anyway, I've enjoyed Unfiltered and will gladly read anything you give us.
I’m so happy to see this post and that you’re moving into this next phase. I’m not happy for any turmoil or anxiety you encountered while arriving at this spot. I look forward to the podcasts as I enjoy your collective insights though, if I’m being honest, I enjoy the banter a bit more.
Ken you have a gift and I’ll always want to read your work and hear your insight into todays sport and hockey strategy. I also agree on big picture comments here from your many friends and readers. PS Vancouver and the island have some lovely 10km races…
I’ve always enjoyed your writing, analytical skills, and hockey insights going back to the Hockey News.
I’m not a fan of the “new” fragmented/decentralized journalism that has unfolded since the demise of print media.
Enjoy your semi retirement, and am glad you & Dylan are continuing your podcast. Check out the 10K Bolder-Boulder in Colorado usually held on the US Memorial Day weekend.
Well done! On every account! Getting comfortable with yourself requires time and adjustments. I love your new goals… running everywhere!!! May the bets continue although now that you are retiring… you’ll probably demand odds…. You know that Lord Stanley is on its way to our rightful home!!!
Enjoy--I will be happy to continue to read what you do post here!
Congratulations Kaptain

Thanks for everything Ken. HN isn’t the same without you!

I appreciate the behind the curtain look into your life Ken, glad to hear you’re enjoying semi retirement.
Good luck with the important game Wednesday and best wishes on your running adventure.
Nice to hear you are adjusting Ken. I always enjoy reading your insights.
Really well written, Ken! Big Picture. Hockey is great, but living life is better!
Enjoy a happy, healthy and lengthy semi-retirement. Look forward to whatever you do write

Thanks, Charlie. It's been a journey for sure. Great to know that you've come to grips with the fact that the Montreal Canadiens will win the Cup.
^^^LOL ((and I'm a Habs fan)!
