Except the George Stroumboulopoulos experiment didn't fail. It just wasn't given enough time to succeed. Rogers management couldn't keep Don Cherry in line. It dithers and ultimately bows to forces that want everything to stay the same. Bettman is not the problem here in any remote sense.
This is typical of McLean and the old CBC regimen IMHO...I perhaps thought he threw DC under the bus...there is a really admirable feeling that we must make our society less discriminatory but a lot of the people in the broadcasting business just want to hang on to their jobs.
