Montreal needs to renounce the pick like Arizona did with Mitchell Miller last year.

Bergevin has now cast even more doubt on his contention that he knew nothing about the sexual assault allegations against the CBH video coach when he was working there.

Baffling.

He has been punished according to the full extent of Swedish law (whether you think it is too lenient is a different matter), and Habs have not broken any rules. They will also hold him to a professional standard and help him rehabilitate. Let the young man live his life

Are you seriously saying that because ‘HE’ was punished to the full extent of the law, and because Montreal hasn’t broken any rules, everything is ok, life goes on and the rest should just be forgotten? That is an incredibly narrow minded approach to not just the way one see’s this grossly unacceptable act, but to the way one see’s life in general. There are many things that are dealt with via LEGAL JUSTICE, but the consequences and lasting repercussions also require SOCIAL JUSTICE, to be served. This is clearly a case where legal justice was served, but a team felt they were above all means of social justice because their needs superseded the needs of everyone and everything else. That’s a scary pattern of behavior. We can only hope that this does not become an acceptable norm in the way that you seem to have adopted it.

The fact that you are using a Canadian miner's name when involving any form of legal proceedings is disgusting and makes you liable for criminal proceedings being brought against you. No one in Canada has the right to discus a minor's record with their name publicly. Shame on you.

Remember this was the same GM who traded for John Scott to try and keep him out of an allstar game.

Please tell me why you are so worried about this mans career well-being when a young woman’s psyche could be so damaged that she may never know normal again.

"Don’t get me wrong, I have two daughters and would lose it if this happened."

The fact you make that statement to begin with makes everything else you said about it tone - deaf and meaningless.

This happened in November and going into the draft this week he had only paid a fine (a criminal procedure in Sweden) and has not made a proper apology (according to the victim).

I hope she sues his ass civilly. His signing bonus and/or rookie salary would be a start.

Oh, And please let us know when you've explained your opinion to your daughters.
