At a time when transactions come at you at a dizzying pace, there was a recent one from the Columbus Blue Jackets that particularly caught my eye. In more than three decades of covering this game, it was one the likes of which I had never seen before. When the Blue Jackets made their first nine cuts of training camp last Thursday, they sent out the following release:
