Pacific Division Preview: Buckle up for the Battle of Alberta
We got a taste of it last season, but with both teams emerging as legitimate contenders, this season should be spicy. The rest of the division? Meh
For a division with this kind of star power, the Pacific certainly leaves a lot to be desired as a group. It produced just three playoff teams last season and could very well repeat the ignominious feat in 2022-23. But enough of the negative. We waited 30 years for the reprisal of the Battle of Alberta, and while the Edmonton Oilers’ sweep of Calgary Flames in the playoffs lacked drama, things should be a lot more spicy in Wild Rose Country this season.
