One person connected with the New York Islanders said that if the Islanders were AFC Richmond, Cal Clutterbuck would be Roy Kent. And you’ll only understand that if you watch Ted Lasso, which I’m assuming most people do.

If not, Roy Kent, who is apparently inspired by Irish football legend Roy Keane, is the cantankerous, aging captain of AFC Richmond who does not suffer fools and speaks his mind. When asked Monday morning what overtaking Dustin Brown to become the all-time recorded hits leader in NHL history meant to him, he replied, “It means I’ve played long enough to have a chance to do it more than anyone else. That’s about it. It’s part of my job.”
