Danielle Robitaille of Heinen Hutchison appeared before the Canadian Heritage standing committee Tuesday morning.

On the morning of June 19, 2018, Hockey Canada senior vice-president of risk management and insurance Glen McCurdie placed a call to Danielle Robitaille of the Toronto law firm Heinen Hutchison to initiate a third-party investigation surrounding an alleged gang rape that occurred just hours before involving some members of the 2018 Canadian World Junior team at Hockey Canada gala.

The first piece of advice Robitaille had for McCurdie was that the London Police Service needed to be contacted about this immediately. And, according to Robitaille, McCurdie replied that he needed to send that particular matter up the Hockey Canada food chain before he could contact authorities. And it wasn’t until about nine hours later that police were actually informed of the situation.
